Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent

          Every year Ubisoft releases next part of the all-known game serial - Splinter Cell. Sam Fisher’s adventures made a real furor among players: there were two categories of people who disliked the game – crazy people and stealth-haters.

          All the others yelled that the game made by Ubisoft Montreal was exciting. Yes, hide-and-seek behind boxes, rushing from one shelter to another, soundless creeping over the enemy and his further termination were very newly-made and showy at that time. The first Splinter Cell impressed many players so much that they called it a stealth-ancestor having forgotten about bald killer and cynic thief.

        Nevertheless, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory with their wonderful start implemented no innovations in the genre. But that didn’t prevent them from becoming just high quality games about super spy. And sequel with very symbolic and intriguing name Double Agent is coming…

Surprise!

         The new part of Splinter Cell is coming in time, I should say. It will become a rival of the latest game about Hitman - Blood Money. Developers say there are a lot of surprises and a plot with many twists there. So let’s talk about it. Fisher’s daughter Sara perishes in an accident. Nobody knows reasons of that and nobody cares about it. Little by little Sam begins to run mad, runs into depression and he can’t forget what happened.

         He is angry at the whole world and he doesn’t want to believe his daughter is dead. Having gone mad Sam started to rob the banks and to murder innocent people – in a word he does everything he struggled against all his life long. Why? Just to find peace. And police provides it for Sam locking him up. For robberies. For murders. For people’s lives. The prison term is about twenty years.

Double Agent

        So that disgraceful and illogical end waited for Sam in the new part. You don’t believe in that? Neither do I. It’s just interesting for me – will you cry or won’t? You realize very good that policemen just weren’t able to catch and neutralize The Best Spy Ever Existed. And if Sam is locked up so he needs that for some purpose. The thing is our brave spy is completing his next operation initiated by (what is your idea?) The Third Echelon.

        The target of the mission is to intrude into terrorist organization with a nice name John Brown's Army and to neutralize it. Sam excites real rebellion in the jail and absconds from prison with his wardmate Jemy Washington. This Washington in his turn is Brown’s organization member and he suggests Sam to recruit in reward for rescue.
